DHMD: Soccer & Globalization

For the exhibition "On your marks. Sports and Society" of the Deutsches Hygienemuseum, Dresden, we have designed an interactive table explaining the global soccer player market in a playful way.
 

Visitors can place cards with famous soccer stars on three different slots and let the table show them those players' careers. Animated arrows visualize the transfers from team to team and what amount of money was paid for it. Careers can be compared, similarities and differences between players or clubs can be explored.

Three lightboxes enhance the understanding by showing additional information or points of view. They show the overall transfer expenses of European soccer clubs, visualize the countries where internationational players come from and work in, and also compare three types of soccer clubs regarding their purchasing and selling strategies.

The exhibition will be open until February 26th, 2012.
