The client – “more than paint”
Brillux is internationally known as a manufacturer of lacquers and paints. With an assortment of more than 12.000 articles and over 180 branches throughout Europe, the traditional German company is one of the heavyweights in the industry.
In 2013, the Brillux Academy in Münster was created as a place where visitors can experience the Brillux brand in its entirety, true to its claim “more than paint”. For this purpose, the Berlin agency Dan Pearlman designed and realised a multi-sensory showroom with a logo-sculpture as centerpiece.
Our task – multimedia brand staging
The life-size logo sculpture in the entrance area, shaped as a diamond, is both an eye-catcher and the heart of the interior. Its anamorphic shape appears arbitrary, but what is surprising is that the diamond forms a Brillux signet for visitors from a certain perspective.
In addition, the sculpture represents an extraordinary stage for the brand. Intolight was commissioned to stage it emotionally and multimedialy.
Implementation – colour and light in all their facets
The visual display of the diamond with light (Latin Lux) is significant on several levels, making the Brillux brand tangible in terms of content.
We developed a concept tailored to the special aesthetics of the sculpture, as well as our own visual language. Company figures and facts are visually embedded in new contexts and thus prepared in an exciting way for the viewer. The LEDs and 360° projections visualize color splashes, show generically growing graphics, and equally display various surface textures. We used the software framework VVVV fort the implementation. The integration of a 9.1 sound system, which we implemented together with our Berlin partner Hands on Sound, complements the expressive brand presence and creates a unique exhibit.
